Penny
“Brandon did an amazing job with our labradoodle Penny. Penny was a huge menace on walks, choking herself to get where she wants to go, now she walks by my side and follows my lead. She now understands when it’s okay to do what she wants while still paying attention to my words and actions while we are outside.”
Sage
“Brandon’s training gave me the tools direct my dog’s energy in ways that were fun, healthy, and safe for everyone. He taught me to make sure my dog’s needs for structure, safety, communication, and health were all met. ”
Simba
“What truly sets Brandon apart is his genuine care and patience. He didn’t just train my puppy; he took the time to understand my pup’s unique personality, needs, and learning style. Brandon has an intuitive sense for what each dog needs at different stages, and he tailored his approach perfectly for me.”

Yes, the consultation is a crucial part of the process. Think about it as a way to see if we’re both a proper fit for each other. If needed, we’ll schedule an in-person assessment to nail down the path of your training plan.
-
Short answer: Absolutely.
Long answer: Whether you’re introducing a puppy to the world or have a dog that has been with you for years, you will both benefit from training. Too often, dog training is reduced to an optional, trick-oriented skill set or seen as necessary only for dogs with behavioral problems. However, it is so much more than that. Through training, you build communication and trust with your companion, opening the possibilities for adventure and exploration, allowing them to venture beyond the leash—to truly be a dog.
With DYAD, training doesn’t just consist of teaching obedience. While this is covered, we first explore your relationship and show how your dog thinks and why they express the behaviors they do. By gaining this invaluable insight, you will be able to lead your companion and transcend the typical owner–dog dynamic. It is never too early or too late to begin improvement.

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
Albert Einstein
If you haven’t taught your dog, how would your dog know? Expecting dogs to understand the world without knowing the language, dangers, and rules is our failure. This is your role as your dog’s leader.
-
Training can be started at any healthy stage in life. In fact, it is crucial to begin as soon as their paws enter your home to ensure the formation of healthy habits. The old saying, ‘can't teach an old dog new tricks,’ must have been from someone who prefers cats.
-
All training sessions are adjusted based on each student’s individual needs, and there is only so much information that you and your dog can absorb at one time. The sessions typically last around an hour and build on the previous one.
-
Training with DYAD encourages all students to possess an open mind and to lead with patience and understanding. This art demands your time and focus. There is no simple solution or convenient change that will make this easy. Please see the polices of everything that is required during training.
